Refrain From Having Dessert and Sweets

In this week's challenge you must refrain from having dessert and sweets this week. Nutrition and medical experts agree that Americans eat too much sugar, and the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend cutting back on the sweet stuff. If you reduce the amount of sugar you eat, you may have more energy, lose weight or stay at a healthy weight more easily, see your triglycerides drop, have fewer dental cavities and even look younger.

Sugar that doesn’t get used as energy converts into fatty acids that become triglycerides – a type of fat that circulates in your blood. High levels of triglycerides increase your risk of developing heart diseases and stroke, so reducing your sugar intake may help protect your from cardiovascular problems later in life.
